So can someone explain me the big diff between Behemoths & Megas please?

1. Behemoths absorb mortar blasts better then Megas? 2. Behemoths are more easily killed by Machine gun turrets / Hercs / Gatts? 3. What is the best defense setup for a base when attacked by Behemoths? Plasma and Laser in combination with gatts or Hercs then?
