The easiest way to take out a silo, is to use a Havoc and 6 EWHs. Send the Havoc infront of the EWHs and let it soak up the damage from any Reaper drones inside, with the EWHs firing on the silo from behind.
As long as you've taken out any anti air turrets or units first, you'll only loose the Havoc, which will take about an hour to repair :)
