This seems like the clear best unique turret. It has the most DPS with the lowest rate of fire, meaning that it doesn't need refills as frequently as the others. It won't be distracted by Raptors flying over the base that would easily be shot down anyways. It doesn't need any thorium to upgrade, so thorium can be saved for other stuff insead. I am definitely unlocking this one in a week when my defense lab finishes upgrading.
