Hellstorms kill ground infantry that is expelled from buildings. I do it all the time. I have four hellstorms and three elite warhawks. These are good against player bases if you use them in combination with elite hellfires. You have to learn how to use them with other units and not just try to take a base with only hellstorms, although that can be done with some bases as well. Also Rifleman in a bunker will kill hellstorms quick. I know because i use them in bunkers and have been by them in bunkers. they are good because they will not target missiles and only the hellstorms. Stingers will beging to hit missiles and not the hellstorms. Same with max gunners. Hope this helps you guys level the playing field some.
