I am excited to hear that Electronic Arts, the owner of my favorite strategy game, announced a remastering of the old Command & Conquer games. Before anyone complains that EA will charge for micro-transactions, Jim Vessella (an EA producer) says there will be none. I can't really trust EA after the many games they cancelled and bad mobile ones they made. We saw how C&C Rivals was and the negative reception fans gave it. I hope they bring back two of the classics I loved. Tiberian Sun (including the Firestorm expansion) and Red Alert 2 (which includes the Yuri's Revenge expansion). I am aware how similarly War Commander plays to these two isometric games, at least in the beginning.
Would it hurt Kixeye if they remastered all of their old free-to-play games and did not charge for micro-transactions like EA mentioned? I think there are still fans who want the old games again. I am willing to forgive Kixeye if they would remake the classics on PC. I have some new ideas for the remaster. Try making it play like Forged Battalion:
