Ryu-Kai/Sandbox
Faction History
The Ryu-Kai are an inactive Rogue Faction, that seem to have been inactive for a very long time.
This is hinted in the 1st pre-event description for Operation: Iron Lord . "Mysterious figure Goro Tazaki has emerged as the leader of the mechanical army - alluding to his unstoppable faction as the remnants of the Ryu-Kai."
For the first event when he and his forces appeared, he remained in the shadows, shrouded in mystery, his forces doing likewise, not revealing who they truly were, but simply provided Mercenary Mech's for beating specific waves.
In Operation: Iron Reign, he made no appearance at all. When next seen, in Operation: Iron Lord he stepped out to show us who, or what, he really is.
Ryu-Kai Leader/Former Leader
The Leader of the Ryu-Kai calls himself Goro Tazaki. It is unknown how long he has been in command of the remnants of the Ryu-Kai, and if there were any previous leader's of his faction.
Additional Facts
- Ryu-Kai forces take less damage from shells and bullets when defending. Using weapons that deal corrosion, ion, energy, or fire damage will make your attacks more effective.
- Some Ryu-Kai bases will have airborne platforms. When approaching a base, destroy these turret platforms with units that can attack air before launching an attack.
- The Scorpion and Oni will be very useful when attacking Ryu-Kai bases. Be careful, without proper support and preparations your scorpions and oni’s will not be as effective.
- Suicide Bombers and Suicide Trucks work great during base defense against attacking Ryu-Kai forces. Spreading them out around the base will help bolster your defenses.
- The first Rogue Faction that have its own special abilities. "Battle Hardened Veterans of Traditional Warfare" (mentioned in the Rogue Faction Description), they're take less damage from shells and bullets when defending (as mentioned above)
