The Black Widows are one of the original five Rogue Factions that sprung up to fill the power vacuum after the collapse of the civilized world.

• The Black Widow faction has never served as an antagonist of a Special Event.

The Black Widows are 1 of only 6 active Rogue Factions that control Rogue Resource Deposits on the World Map.

• The Black Widows were overthrown and lost control of their Rogue Bases to the Red Lokust at the start of Operation: Red Swarm ( Feb 22, 2013 )
  • However, the Black Widow faction remains in control of Rogue Resource Deposits found on the World Map.
• The Lost Tech component Studded Snow Tires was originally labeled as being found in the ruins of Black Widow Bases
  • This was an error and was changed to Found in Ruins of Eastern Horde bases soon after ^[ref]

• The Black Widow Rogue Bases briefly made a return to the World Map due to a Game Bug in Dec 2013.
  • This was corrected in the Game Update of Jan 09, 2014.
• The Black Widow Rogue Bases spawned on the World Map already destroyed just prior to the start of Operation: Red Swarm as part of that event's narrative.
  • This caused a lot of player confusion as evident of multiple Kixeye forum threads highlighting the confusion.
