Introduction
Ho-Ho-Holdout ( Dec 2020 ) is the 12th PvE Defense Event to be presented in War Commander.
PvE Defense Events are Mini-Events .....
General Information
Holdout is a series of 3 Bases that the Player must protect from series of swarming Enemy Units. Each Base scales up in Difficulty and each Base contains 3 Waves of Enemies where the Player defend against. Success in defending in each series of Waves will award the Player with Event Experience Points (eXP) that the Player may use to purchase various items from the Event Store, such as:
- Units.
- Faction Training Tokens.
- Common, Uncommon, Rare and Epic Components for Units and Uniques.
- Upgrade Logistics.
If the Player is successful at defeating all of the 3 Holdout Bases, the Player will be awarded a Logistic from an Arms Cache. A Bonus Holdout Base is unlocked upon the defeat of the 3 Holdout Bases that yields additional Event Experience Points (eXP) that the Player can earn.

Event Shop
Event Experience Points ( eXP )
- The Player is awarded eXP for every successful Defense per Wave per Base. These points may be tracked by the Player in the Event Store while in the Player's Base.
Special Event Prizes
- The Event Shop may only be accessed while inside the Player's Base.
- As the Player acquires eXP, they may at any time during and up to 48 Hours after the end of the Event, choose to spend all or a portion of their eXP on one or more of the newly introduced Special Event Prizes in the Event Shop.
- Also available in the Event Shop are all the past Special Event Prizes excluding any Removed or Locked.
- The Event Shop is split into two separate sections:
- Unowned - Shows all current and available past Special Event Prizes not currently unlocked by the Player.
- Owned - Shows all Special Event Prizes available for the current Event that the Player has already unlocked.

Bonus Crate Functionality
- Bonus Crates are spawned at random intervals around the map. These Crates will grant the Player a special Ability upon being claimed.
- In order to claim the Bonus Crate, the Player must have their Unit stand on top of the Crate to claim them.
- Bonus Crates only inhabit the battlefield for a specific amount of time before self-destructing.
- The Abilities that may be granted upon the claiming of Bonus Crates are as follow :

Trivia
- Ho-Ho-Holdout ( Dec 2020 ) is similar to the Onslaught and Invasion modes, except Ho-Ho-Holdout ( Dec 2020 ) takes place in it's own Base and requires the Player to only 1 Platoon to participate.
